MAKE THE PAINTINGS LARGE ENOUGH TO BE SEEN! This app uses "Thumbnail" size pictures, without any zoom capability. I love paintings and was really looking forward to again seeing these "old friends" that I would visit each weekend at the National Galley of Art (Washington and then in London). But to use only a small portion of the screen to display a painting, makes me want to scream: let me really see the painting!!! This makes all the difference in the world -- please redesign to make paintings fill the screen or at least to allow user to enlarge (without losing resolution). Developer, if you are reading this, please do consider...

The images of the paintings are too small. I measured one of the images at 5/16".

Really love this app. My 9 year old and I play this and love it. I only wish there were more art and artists represented for more variety. After about a week we have learned them all. We wnt more!

This game really put new knowledge inside my brain. Fascinating and wonderful app!

I got this for my kids to learn about the art. I hope it benefits their knowledge.

Great fun to play, & each level does get harder than the last. I do agree that the pictures are too small, & it would be nice if users could look at the pictures at leisure, before or after the game. Couldnt there be a gallery function? Or maybe at least a pause button. One never gets much of a good look at the paintings, which is frustrating. Still, the basic concept is excellent. I think the game could be a big hit if you let us see the pictures and offered theme packs of other paintings or sculptures as extras.

How can you play anything but the match part of the game if you CANT even see the pictures as they are minute!! This was a total waste. Im deleting it & reporting the problem, as if the programmer didnt know. May be ok for IPad but not for IPhone!!

In the first 3 minutes using the program, I spotted an error. Hokusais wave is listed only under his first name. Thats a pretty big bug considering how famouse image is. Aside from that, the quiz section was a big bummer. In all of the art history finals I have taken, never have I been asked to name the artist of a painting where only the title is given. Seriously, why would you do that? Especially when countless works have titles like "Untitled" and "Self Portrait." I would bump this review up to 3 stars if they would at least fix those two things.

Read the article in USA Today and decided to buy. Really good idea, but Im not a fan of the execution for iPhone. 1) Pics are too small 2) Cant lower the sound volume 3) In mode where you view paintings, you cant go from one painting to the next. You have to go back the the menu each time. Fix those things and Ill give it another shot. For now, im looking at other similar apps for my sons.

This is a great app idea, but I do agree that the pictures need to be much bigger. Then it would be an amazing app. Great way to learn about art and hear good music.

I love this app because its so interactive. It starts off with a memory matching game with the art itself. When you get it correct, the art and the artists name appears on the screen. Then you move to matching the artists name with the art. It has other levels and difficulties too. Ive just started exploring this, but its well worth the money.

This is great for siblings, parent/child and among friends.

3 different levels of play to increase the difficulty as you learn.

You can also set it to just painters and titles in word only mode and there are 3 levels of difficulty each presenting more paintings per round.

Great intro to famous works of art, good app

Fun and educational at the same.
